About teresaAustralia is my home but I was born in Italy. I am bilingual Italian English and speak French fluently & Spanish almost fluently. I credit my passion for languages to my curiosity about the English language which I learned so effortlessly as an 11year old child. Operating comfortably in two such diverse cultures has led me on a never ending journey exploring diverse facets of Language The most absorbing, fascinating and endlessly pleasurable of these is how Music relates to specific language groups. The unifying power that music can exert through its diversity is food for both body and soul. Even without words to accompany it, there is always an underlying "text" to music, waiting to be discovered or recognized. My taste in music is eclectic and I listen to new sounds with a very open mind (*see below for exception) I work as Language&Diction coach to opera singers and I am fortunate to be able to say I truly love my work since it combines my two great passions: languages and music. I enjoy introducing friends & acquaintances to opera, especially those who profess to dislike this kind of music..........it is a great challenge and can be so rewarding once they are "initiated" . This is what I hope will happen to me with respect to Jazz : it's the only kind of music I don't like . I would like to be introduced to its charm, but so far it has escaped me............
